Denver's Cutler has bruised leg

Football Betting Lines

11/05/2007 - Englewood, CO (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler has been diagnosed with bruised left leg.

An MRI on the leg came back negative, revealing no stress fracture of the fibula. Head coach Mike Shanahan is hopeful that the signal-caller will play this week. The club will see how Cutler feels on Wednesday to determine what to do.

Cutler was hurt with 13:26 remaining in the second quarter, when he was sacked by Lions defensive tackle Shaun Rogers. As he was being pulled to the ground, two defenders collided into Cutler's left leg around the ankle.

Denver's first-round draft selection in 2006, Cutler was replaced by Patrick Ramsey, who finished the game 29-for-46 with 262 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Denver's 44-7 loss.

Before leaving the game, Cutler was 3-for-4 for 20 yards. For the season, he has completed 65.8 percent of his passes for 1,690 yards with eight touchdowns and eight interceptions.
